About Fellowship
Position available (possibly 2) at University of Agder, Faculty of Social Sciences as PhD Research Fellow in Political Science which is affiliated to Department of Political Science and Management for the period of 3 or 4 years with 25% of required work duties.
The position is at the Department of Political Science and Management, Faculty of Social Sciences in Kristiansand and starting date is negotiable with faculty.

The responsibilities
The PhD will focus on public administration/public policy. The position is funded by the university and will be part with one of the department's two research groups: Governance and Leadership in the Public Sector and European Integration and Transnational Governance. The theme of the PhD Research fellow's project must fall into the areas of one of these research groups.

 Eligibility:

  • ·  Applicant must qualify for admission to the PhD program in Social Sciences with a master's degree in Political science / Public Administration with an average mark of B or better.
  • ·   Applicants who are in the process of finishing their master's thesis can also apply.
  • ·   Fluency in written and oral English is prerequisite.
  • ·  Personal qualities- expecting successful candidate to work in focused, concentrated and independent manner.

  • ·   Master's thesis
  • ·  Academic work and R & D projects, as well as the list of these project description with a maximum length of 10 pages. The outline should present and discuss possible research question; theory perspective, material, a progress plan and methods within the given framework.
   These documents must be submitted before last date and must be in Scandinavian or English language.

Salary:
The position is renumerated as per state salary scale, salary plan  17.515, code 1017 PhD Research fellow, NOK 497.600 ross salary per year.
